Tips from locals
Cycle hire (e-bikes), Sussex Wildlife visitor centre and cafe, lots of sea birds and bird watcher hides, cycle and walk paths, river and harbour.
The Nature Reserve at Rye Harbour is a nationally important area on the channel coast, running around westwards to Winchelsea and then eastwards around to the wildly beautiful RSPB Reserve at Dungeness.
This is a lovely place to walk, very child friendly with a cafe along the route.
The stunning Nature reserve, flocked with rare birds, is the perfect place to catch the sunset. At its edge lies the vast camber and winchelsea beaches.
