Admission here is included with your ticket to the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art. I recommend touring the studio after viewing some of Grant Wood's art in the museum. It's very neat how they've restored the studio to how it was when Grant and his mother lived there.
Grant Wood painted the iconic American Gothic in this very studio. But that wasn't all he painted! Clearly inspired by Iowan landscape, he painted beautiful landscapes of farms and fields. Stop by to view the studio, and have any questions answered by a docent will be there to answer any questions you may have.
This is a WONDERFUL attraction many visitors miss! The studio where American Gothic was painted is FREE to tour, but only on Sat-Sun from 12pm-3pm, March-December. After tour, visit CR Art Museum!
