Tips from locals
A diverse market with locally grown produce, baked goods and loads of arts, crafts, and clothing. Check out Constable corner for delicious fresh bread and goodies. The market is open from 9 am to 1 pm Saturday.
We love the Taupo Markets that are every Saturday in town. Worth a browse around at local baking, produce, art and craft.
I have a BBQ stall there most Saturdays selling smoked wild food! other regulars include Raw Balance for vege goodness, volcanic coffee, served straight from the roaster, Lulas empenadas for argentinian pastries!
Every Saturday - either at Riverside Park (Redoubt St) or sometimes on the lakefront at Northcroft Domain. A variety of stalls/crafts for sale etc, but we go for the food! Check out Volcanic Coffee!, the Smoke Pit (smoked pork!), Mussel Fritters!, the Crepe van!, Churros!, and most definitely Bamos! (the empanada van)!!
