Tips from locals
Cardines Field has sometimes laid claim to being one of the oldest ballparks in America, though the evidence suggests that the ballpark was most likely built in 1938. Baseball has been played on the site since at least 1908, however.
Recently ranked as the 4th best park in the United States for summer collegiate baseball by Baseball America Magazine, Cardines Field, home of the Newport Gulls of the New England Collegiate Baseball League, has a rich history involving the great American Pastime.
College baseball league with fun, small cute little stadium...fun/cheap event! Playground close to the outfield where you can watch the games also!
