Wonderful Historic Site of the Governor's Mansion when New Bern was the Capital of NC for about 5 minutes.
Great for history buffs. The very knowledgeable staff make this place amazing! Our tour of the palace was engaging for all ages. The grounds are beautiful. The kitchen staff was really informative. It is breathtaking.
Tryon Palace was the official residence and administrative headquarters of the British governors of North Carolina from 1770 to 1775, at which time it was known as the Governor's Palace. Located in New Bern, the palace was often at the center of state occasions and royal hospitality.
