Gene and I went here on our first date in 1990. Los Barrios is a little out of the way from E-Co Lofts, but worth the drive. This restaurant has expanded several times since we first visited. The atmosphere is still welcoming, the food is delicious and the margaritas are tasty, too. These days, the founding matriarch's daughter, Diana, takes time to make her way through the dining area to chat with guests. Mon-Thu 10A-10P, Fri & Sat 10A-11P, Sun 9A-10P

This is a family favorite. Great food and margaritas. Reasonable prices and casual atmosphere. Be sure to try the Puffy Tacos, a San Antonio classic.
