This is a 1.5-2hours trip but totally worth your money and time. You drive in Shimba hills area with beautiful country side views. You can choose a day stay at the green lodge which is 20$ ( 3 course meal + swimming in the infinity pool) or just a quick stop over/picnic at the cliff(our lion’s rock) for about 5$ .You can be able to see the vast Shimba hills reserve and if lucky spot some elephants. Enjoy the sunset and get to see mombasa city get dotted beautifully with night lights.
