With 10 hiking trails ranging from .6-2.5 miles, Clear Creek Metro Park features over 5,300 acres of woodland interspersed with blackhand sandstone cliffs, ravines and creeks and is home to more than 2,200 species of plants and animals. Beautiful fishing lake adds to the fun and relaxation. Ohio’s largest state nature preserve.
Several trails of different lengths are available for hiking, ranging from easy to difficult.
I grew up on the banks of the beautiful Clear Creek. Lena, our famous leaning stone is worth the trip, just a few roads over from us.
Just a few miles from our cabin, this park is a peaceful place and most of the time, not crowded. This park really has beauty in all seasons. The trails have various levels of difficulty from easy to rugged. There is a huge, leaning boulder (called Leaning Lena) that you'll drive by upon entering the park. There really is nowhere to park near this boulder but it's so unique and has an enchanting feel. The fishing points along Clear Creek are easy to access. And this entire park (5300 acres) is a bird and fauna dynasty! It's also home to Ohio's last remaining colonies of rhododendrons.
