Zermatt is a wonderful fairytale town. There is so much to do all year round. Sightseeing, Hiking, Skiing, Great food, etc. I can't list it all but, Zermatt dot ch, can help you plan your trip.
You can ski all the way down to Zermatt and have lunch in the center or on the slopes.
Zermatt, Matterhorn, Bergwelt, Gletscher, Air Zermatt, Shopping, Nightlife, Bar's, Essen
Iconic Alpine location, it is staggeringly beautiful - and expensive. BUT! Packing a pyjama and trainers in your backpack, if you take the day ticket for the Cervinia ski-area (or even the one-way ticket to Plateau Rosa).. you can ski all the way down (and walk when the snows are melting lower down) to Zermatt at the end of the day.. no charge! There are budget hostels to be found in Zermatt. PASSPORT REQUIRED, sometimes they check on the border.
