Another beach (we have a lot)! - This is quieter than most (though there is a bit of a jet ski crowd) - we like it for the the walks ... (head up 'Dogget Lane' ) and meander past some cabins of days gone by and ideals of beach of holidays of a bygone era.. the footpath will take you across the cliff tops at Happisburgh and past it's infamous red and white lighthouse. Happisburgh (locally pronounced hayz- buh-ruh) is sadly and rapidly falling into the sea, with no government funding to help protect it either. It's a beautiful village with a rich maritime history, having many a ship fall foul of it's shifting offshore sandbanks. The church and lighthouse make this an iconic spot - and apparently Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle was a bit of a fan of this spot too!

Set between the better known beach of Happisburgh and ever popular Sea Palling is a somewhat unspoilt gem - Cart Gap beach. As with all the beaches along this stretch of coast Cart Gap is lovely sandy beach, clean and usually quiet.
