Tips from locals
An environmental education facility with classes, gift shop, daily guided tours and a one mile hiking trail. The mission is to develop habitat for pollinators in general and butterflies specifically and to teach others to do the same. Butterfly Ridge is now CLOSED for the season and will re-open for business April 15, 2022.
The idea was to have a garden that would focus on the health and well-being of butterflies native to southeastern Ohio.
15 mile drive/9 miles away from Ravens Retreat, starting April 15, 2022 to Oct 15th, the center opens to connect the public with the Butterfly Life Cycle. Hiking and Gift Shop available. Such a great opportunity learn about these creatures. Note, guided tour leaders show guests around at 1pm and 3pm. $5 admission per person.
