The longest and best ferry ride connects Burlington and Port Kent, New York. The lake is 13 miles wide here. In Port Kent head south on Rt 22 hugging the shoreline till you get to Port Henry and then over the Champlain Bridge to Vt and back to Shoreham. The mountains come closer to the lake on the New York side and there are several beautiful, historic towns along the way. Its a nice lake loop.
