Die SAC Hütte Capanna Motterascio ist in 2.5 h wandern vom Stausee Lago Luzzone erreichbar. Eine Übernachtung ist bei einer Reservierung ebenfalls möglich. Die Wanderung führt am schönen Lago Luzzone vorbei steil hoch bis zur Hütte. Die Hütte dient als Ausgangspunkt für Mehrtägige Wandertouren oder Übergänge zu anderen Hütten.
