Allez les bleues marines! This entry is for rugby fans visiting for Scotland's home internationals. The Mews Stables is a short 20 minute walk from the ground. It is probably quicker to walk than to attempt to get on a tram. Walk along Glasgow Road taking the first left after the old railway bridge at Roseburn Street. I would allow half an hour to get through the turnstiles and to your seat, particularly if you have to circulate around the ground, which can often be done more quickly at the upper level. After the match for about 20 minutes Glasgow Road comes to a complete halt as the crowd exits the stadium so do not expect to catch a bus or taxi, or to be picked up by friends unless well away from the ground. Most of the hotels along Glasgow Road have drinking and food on their front lawns on match day and they get very crowded. Roseburn Bar is the outstanding pub in these parts if you can get near it.
