Nature lovers, this is the spot! Hike or bike the trails, fish in the lake, take your dog to the dog park, or watch for birds at this 200-acre park on the edge of our neighborhood.
We like Sutton because it is close to town but still very woodsy. There is a trail (mountain bikes allowed) that will loop you around the lake and back. It is a great hike with some of the greenest (like Alice in Wonderland green!) grass in some places. Plenty of trails that lead off and plenty of places to put up a hammock and chill for a while. Geocach while you're there!

Connected to a good sized dog park. Secluded walking loop covered in treets that wraps around a water reservoir. Nice place for a quiet walk/run.
Closer to the city center, the 160-acre George M. Sutton Wilderness Park offers a 1.3-mile wooded trail for walking or running. You could see white-tailed deer, Texas horned lizards, foxes, and more than 200 species of birds. There’s a pond for fishing, and dogs are welcome as long as they stay on a leash.
