Ski/snowshoe/hike to a yurt for a gourmet dinner. A little pricey but absolutely worth it! Needs reservations.
Hungry for an exceptional dining experience above and beyond the metro-cuisine scene? Take a refreshing one mile hike or nordic ski out to the Tennessee Pass Cookhouse at the base of Ski Cooper and savor an elegant evening of four-course dining in an idyllic backcountry setting. Dinner however, is by reservation only. FANCY LIVING, HERE WE COME!
If you’re looking for something off of Harrison Ave., you might consider taking the one-mile hike to the Tennessee Pass Cookhouse. This backcountry gem serves lunch and dinner, but note that it is by reservation only.
My all-time favorite experience. Depending on the season, you either hike, snowshoe, cross country ski or take their Land Cruiser up Tennessee Pass to a Yurt. Appetizers are served on the outdoor deck in the summer. You order from their menu 24 hours in advance since there is no real kitchen. The food is EXCELLENT but the views and the overall experience is one-of -a-kind!
