There are beautiful walks at the quarry with views of snowdonia & waterfalls. Some of the walks/hikes can be more advanced and are not recommended for small children or elderly. There is also a cafe and the national slate museum to visit.

The Dinorwig quarry is a large former slate quarry, nominated for Unesco World Heritage status. It is now home to the Welsh National Slate Museum, located between the villages of Llanberis and Dinorwig in North Wales. It was the second largest slate quarry in Wales, indeed in the world, after the neighbouring Penrhyn quarry near Bethesda. The chapel played an important part of the lives of the quarrymen as it provided a centre for the community, a place to meet.
