The dramatic twenty-five foot tall bronze sculpture depicting World War II’s most famous kiss and the joy of peace was dedicate in February 2013. “Unconditional Surrender” is from sculptor Seward Johnson’s series titled “Icons Revisited.”

Right next to the USS Midway, the Unconditional Surrender is an infamous San Diego landmark. It is a 25 foot statue displaying the well known image of the famous WWII photo of a sailor kissing a nurse.
