Tips from locals
My personal favorite, this is a don't miss, is close to downtown and have some of the weirdest and more interesting ingredients you will ever see, insects, fish, mushrooms and every animal you can eat, adventure yourself and try everything the market offers.
It's a staple in the downtown. People from all over Mexico City go on weekends. You can sample fruit and meats, wines, coffee, seafood.
El mejor mercado para comer y comprar comida exótica. The best market to buy and eat exotic food.
An established market, of which there is one in each neighborhood, notable for having imported gourmet stands of excellent quality, specialized in products to prepare French, Spanish and Italian cuisine at good prices. One of the few places where it is possible to get game meat in the city for those who enjoy quail, deer or duck. Several booths have food bars and it is possible to eat fine products at low cost with wine included. $$+
