Tips from locals
A no-frills, comida corrida joint that, at lunchtime, is stampeded by office workers and locals, all seeking the restaurant’s three-course meal of soup, rice, and a traditional plate like enchiladas or chiles en nogada — plus agua fresca and dessert — for just 60 pesos.
Comida típicamente mexicana. Muy barato. ¡Decorado como una auténtica casa de lo abuelos! Typical Mexican food at a very affordable price. Decorated as an authentic Mexican grannies' house!
If you're craving a wholesome (inexpensive) breakfast, you can find this gem after a quick 2 blocks (and a half) walk from Horizontes Moliere! My favorite is sincronizada with a fried egg on top and a lechero (typical coffee from Veracruz, basically coffee and milk).
