Tips from locals
Great locals beach. It usually has local food stalls by the side of the road, but there is an excellent restaurant Called The Cove at one end. Small beach but very quiet during the week, busy Sundays.
Experience the best that the East coast of Phuket has to offer. Ao Yon has developed over the past 5 years, however it is still very quiet with a number of beachside restaurants, such as La Brasserie. The coastal road is a great trip with excellent views of Chalong bay.
Only a few minutes drive from Bel Air Panwa, you will find Ao yon Beach. Phuket's most beautiful white sand beach. Ao Yon Beach is picturesque and sheltered, and is therefore one of the select few beaches on Phuket that offer you 365 days a year swimming. Phuket's west coast beaches are all closed for most of the period from May to November, plus closed on any days with strong tides. This is especially important for families with children.

Ao Yon Beach is an archetypical tropical beach in Phuket, complete with palm trees, white sand, and shallow waters. A small beachside village in its own right, you can see to oyster farming rafts, just a few hundred metres out to sea. This southerly-facing beach can get busy with locals on weekends, but pleasantly peaceful on weekdays. Ao Yon Beach is between Cape Panwa and Novotel Cape Panwa. You can park on the hillside road and walk down to the beach. Location: 6/5 Soi Ao-Yon Khaokhad, Wichit, Muang, Phuket 83000, Thailand
