Estádio de Canoagem Slalom / Whitewater Stadium / Estadio de canotaje Slalom - The Whitewater Stadium is one of the most complex venues in use for the Games. It uses 25 million litres of water distributed through two canals, in the format of rapids: a 250 metre long rapid for competition and another 200 metre long canal for training. After the Games, the venue will offer locals another leisure attraction. The venue will be turned into a large pool. The obstacles will be removed after the Games, allowing for a recreational lake to be made, with a light current canal. The facilities may also be used by high performance athletes.
