Tips from locals
Run by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, featuring native Scottish species such as capercaillie and wildcat as well as those from further afield such as Amur tiger or polar bear.
The Highland Wildlife Park is a 105-hectare safari park and zoo near Kingussie. The park has a wide and diverse range of animals, from native species such as the Scottish wildcat to those from further afield such as the amur tiger and polar bears!
Great place to see the polar bears, wolves and native Scottish animals. Also has a café, park and gift shop.
We like this wildlife park because the animals seem to have more space and because the kids love it. Endlessly facinating watching the polar bears, tigers, scottish wild cats, red pandas, monkeys, etc.
