Touristy spot with the views of River Cam and peace of art historical bridge, great colour of nature.
This beautiful 18th century bridge is made entirely of timber. Wood is a weak material for a bridge unless structured in the right way and it shows the incredible design by James King that it is still standing to this day.
The river Cam run through Queen's college among many other places, with the Mathematical Bridge connecting what is colloquially referred to as the "light side" and the "dark side" of the college. Officially named the Wooden Bridge, the structure is called Mathematical because of the exact calculations made to design it.
