great trails all across the parkway. Doughton Park is a good starting point for a lot of the hikes close to the cabin

Doughton Park is one of the best places along the Blue Ridge Parkway to view white-tailed deer, raccoons, red and grey foxes, and bobcats. As our matter of fact, this is where our son-in-law proposed to our daughter, and she said, "Yes!".

A breathtaking park along the Blue Ridge Parkway offering expansive mountaintop meadow views along with sweeping vistas overlooking the foothills. This park also offers several hiking options.
