A post- industrial nature reserve with an explosive history. A decomissioned explosive works is now managed by the North Wales Wildlife Trust. Beautiful views with a history of the local area dating back to 1865. Some of the old buildings and machinery still exsists, creating an eerie atmosphere. Go across the cross roads in penrhyn and you can park in the industrial estate to start your walk.

Amazing little reserve with so much history, it used to be a bustling industrial site making explosives for all over the world. Now it is home to loads of fantastic wildlife, bats, nightjars, pied flycatcher, glow worms, slow worms.....just wonderful, and the views are breathtaking! Free entry and plenty of parking,
