NC State museum, featuring western NC interpretive exhibits, hosting seasonal events including Pioneer Day in April. Each Sunday between 2pm and 4pm stop by for mountain music on the porch. Free admission!

Western branch of the state museum system. Featuring numerous exhibits, area history and a beautiful setting on the banks of Mill Creek. Fish in the creek for $5! Free admission, donations gladly accepted.
