The Walter Elliot Gallery is based in Braunton and showcases the work of artist and author Walter Elliott. Walter's Pastel Painting 'The Ascent of Man' which is believed to be the largest pastel in the world is on permanent display in the Elliott gallery. Walter's work has been exhibited throughout Great Britain, France and Italy including in the Salon de Nations, Paris.
