n the center of Amsterdam , 5 minutes walking distance and right opposite the Central Station, is Amsterdam's oldest tower ; the Schreierstoren. Within this monumental medieval walls has been for several years the VOC café located. The current name would have been because the tower was at the place where at the time of the VOC women said goodbye to their husbands before they went on tour .
