Located in King George VI Memorial Park, the Italianate Glasshouse was built by Sir Moses Montefiore in 1832. Restored in 2005, it introduces a variety of plants and shrubs like agaves and vines. The Glasshouse Tea Garden has a unique tea room which offers delicious cream tea and cupcakes.
Lovely place for tea or lunch within King George VI Park. Nice little gift shop too.
Lovely walk from Ramsgate to Broadstairs through this beautiful park with little gems, such as this Italianate Glasshouse. The Italianate Glasshouse, a Grade II* Listed historic monument, was erected in the grounds of East Cliff Lodge, Sir Moses Montefiore's 22 acre estate in 1832. Glasshouse, garden and occasional tea garden open fine weather on summer days, come and enjoy the tranquil and peaceful surroundings. Dogs on leads welcome.

This is a beautiful and much admired Victorian greenhouse in King George VI park just a 10 minute stroll from The Scullery. You can walk through the park to Broadstairs (or you can walk along the beach if the tide is out).
