Why locals recommend it
This is the real Batcave, the one from TV where Adam West lived with the Boy Wonder, not the one where Christian Bale gets all solemn and dreary in The Dark Knight Trilogy. It’s a short walk from the end of Canyon Drive in Griffith Park and you’ll instantly recognize it as the Batcave entrance where the Batmobile comes out. Bronson Canyon is a beautiful hike, especially if you have a dog. Go through the cave to get a cool view of the Hollywood sign. And to get even closer to it, there’s a six-mile walk from the parking lot to the top of Mount Lee.

Tips from locals
Also known as the original Bat Cave, this is a great hike, moderately steep with really close views of the Hollywood sign and of the city. The caves are a must see especially if you’re a Batman fan!
Bronson Canyon, or Bronson Caves, is a section of Griffith Park in Los Angeles that has become known as a filming location for many movies and TV shows, especially westerns and science fiction, from the early days of motion pictures to the present.
As mentioned earlier, check out this great little hike that will bring you up to the caves where the 60's Batman TV show was shot, and also delivers an incredible view of the Hollywood sign. Once you've got your photo, try out the other hikes in that location and get lost in nature in the heart of LA.
