Tips from locals
Great museum for those hungry of knowledge of Mexico beyond fine arts, from prehispanic traditions, food, clothing and indigenous ways. Free on sundays, but less than 1 USD entrance any other day.
Always nice exhibition on popular arts, and a beautiful handcraft shop. Also famous for the "Arbol de la vida" (Life tree) that you can see from outside of the museum.
Located at Coyoacán neighborhood, a very beautiful area of the city is dedicated to the cultural and ethnic diversity of the country, usually, places a beautiful ofrenda on the Day of the Dead, November holiday held on November 1st and 2nd.
