Why locals recommend it
They're a thoughtful community organization cultivating three square city blocks in a historic neighborhood. They grow practically year-round in several greenhouses, and even have a field of blueberries and an apple orchard. It’s a very active place in the neighborhood with a really comprehensive vision for bringing agriculture into the city. They have a farmer’s market every Saturday during growing season. Sometimes they even cut the greens right as you order them. They also have a jam and jelly product they sell called AfroJam that is made from recipes of the older ladies in the neighborhood.
