Villa Miriam is a paradise. It is one of my favorite places. Its small waterfalls of cold and crystalline water and its pools fed by the water of the same river, surrounded by lush vegetation, make this place a little paradise. Visitors can order Creole food at the entrance of the property. Villa Miriam is about 30 minutes (25km) from Barahona in a beautiful route, which is done enjoying a spectacular view of an impressive turquoise blue Caribbean Sea.

Set on the grounds of Villa Miriam, a private residence but open to the public for a small entrance fee, a series of pools fed by the San Rafael River run through the property, gushing from the area’s lush hills.
Recomiendo éste lugar es hermoso y seguro, y solo está a una hora y 20 minutos de mi alojamiento en vehículos, y puedes disfrutar tanto del río como de la playa porque solo toma unos minutos a pies uno de otro
