Stunning piece of New Zealand coastline, this breathtaking place is ideal for surfing, sunbathing or trying to spot native NZ birds. It is about an hour from Auckland direct.. but there is plenty to see up that way. I would suggest stopping by Matakana on your way, and if you can do it on a Saturday morning you will catch the Matakana Markets... delicious food and coffee before you head off to the beach. Omaha beach is also beautiful but busier with loads of holiday houses. Goat Island Marine Reserve is another feature of the Rodney district, you can hire snorkel and mask to check out the sea life.

Pristine surf beach, stunning bush walks and native wildlife. Ask about going to see kiwi at night.
