Beautiful gardens created by Clough Williams -Ellis, who built Portmeirion. Absolutely stunning! ( no dogs allowed, sadly). Opposite is the Brondanw Arms (Y Ring) pub, with a lovely pub garden, unfortunately closed at the moment.
Plas Brondanw was the home of Clough Williams-Ellis (of Port Meirion fame) and he tamed the natural beauty of his gardens to frame the beauty of the natural landscape beyond.
Penrhyndeudraeth. Dine in with additional outside seating. Open 10am-5pm, Monday-closed. Ancestral home of Clough Williams-Ellis who designed and built the Italianate village Portmeirion and Dylan’s restaurant Criccieth.
For those of you who love gardening this is well worth a visit. Italianate gardens meet welsh gardeners! This was Clough Williams Ellis's home (he built Portmeirion) and has some wonderful topiary and structure and it is a beautiful setting. It closes at 4pm but there is a small cafe which does good cake and coffee and light lunches.
