Why locals recommend it
This ancient candlemaker feels like an apothecary, with candles displayed under large glass domes. At €390, their “Great” size scented candles made of beeswax are a splurge, but you’ll never regret it, and they last a year! Everyone who walks into my living room asks about my Abd El Kader scent, with notes of ginger, jasmine, and smoked tea. Created in 1643, Cire Trudon is the oldest candlemaker in the world and supplied the court of Louis XIV and most of the churches in France with wicks to light.
