Amazing excursion, take the steam boat tour across the loch which is mind blowing. You can also hire bikes an take them across and then cycle the 19 miles back. To do this you need to get the early boat which leaves at 10.30 am. It is advisable to book online or by phone before you go. There are also afternoon sailings and plenty of places to cycle to if you don't do the main morning excursion. No public transport to this location so you will need a car.

Loch Katrine is a freshwater loch and scenic attraction in the Trossachs area of the Scottish Highlands. It is within the historic county and registration county of Perthshire and the district of Stirling. The loch is 13 kilometres long and 1 kilometre wide at the widest point and runs the length of Strath Gartney.
Another lovely drive is from Stirling to Loch Katrine. During the summer, the steam boat Sir Walter Scott offers trips on loch. For the more energetic, the trail around the loch offers a great bike ride with stunning views.
