Go for a ride on the wheel at sunset - you will get the best of the daytime and night time views in Cape Town.
Reminiscent of the mammoth London Eye in the UK, the Cape Wheel is an observation wheel that continues to awe visitors that are exploring the Mother City of Cape Town. This giant wheel is located at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, which continues to be one of South Africa’s top tourist attractions. The Cape Wheel has become an iconic part of the Waterfront, and the prime place from which to see Table Mountain, Signal Hill, the Bo-Kaap, and the elegant working harbour from new heights. The highest point that the cabins reach is 40 metres above the ground. The 30 cabins are completely enclosed but transparent, affording their occupants a 360-degree view of the splendour of Cape Town.
