A nice place to view the waves and ships coming leaving Halifax Harbour. Walking trails. Be prepared for some boggy/muddy sections! There is a large cairn (collection of rocks) built as a memorial to a young man, Joe Cracker, who helped rescue survivors from the wreck of the ship Tribune in 1797.
This is a great hiking spot just off of the road leading into Herring Cove. The trail is somewhat rocky and uneven so bear that in mind.
on the bluffs looking out to the Atlantic - great wave-watching on windy days and a hike to the apex pile of rocks; continue along for a more robust walk and arrive at the actual Herring Cove.
