Why locals recommend it
Japan’s leading sound architect designed this highly acclaimed musical hall. It’s said to be Japan’s top classical music venue in terms of fidelity, according to conductor Seiji Ozawa and author Haruki Murakami. The large pipe organ makes it visually stunning as well. It’s the home of the New Japan Philharmonia Orchestra. The best place to see the stage and enjoy the acoustics is the center block of seats on the first floor heading back from the tenth row.
