Tips from locals
A Route 66 must see right outside of Tulsa. Hugh Davis built the Blue Whale in the early 1970s as a surprise anniversary gift to his wife Zelta, who collected whale figurines. So sweet!
Iconic Route 66 historic stop! The Blue Whale provides fond childhood memories for many Catoosa/Tulsa locals. With a rich, romanitc history, visitors should add The Blue Whale to their list of stops.
A quick drive east of Tulsa, stop by the Blue Whale and snap a pic with a much-loved Route 66 landmark. Kids can climb up inside the whale and there are restrooms open from Spring to Fall.
