Why locals recommend it
Sunday nights at this neighborhood hole-in-the-wall take you back to singing in your high school friend’s basement. People feel free to close their eyes and sing the songs nobody else loves the way they do. This place is proof that karaoke is cheap therapy. Try some early Cure, T. Rex, Big Star—the more weirdo or goth the better! One of the most memorable performances I’ve seen here was this awkward goth kid singing “Mad World,” by Tears for Fears. He had some bold dance moves and acted as though nobody else was in the room.
