Tips from locals
(35 min. drive) This is one of our favorite places to take a walk. In addition to the lake, there's a trail beside a creek that leads to an old cedar grove. It's two miles long and relatively flat. Additionally, you can choose to extend your hike up the mountain to experience the beautiful views and a waterfall.
Liberty Lake, WA: About 30 minutes away, heading east on I-90, this park has an entrance fee, large grassy area with playground, picnic tables, BBQ's, restrooms, and a sandy beach with volleyball net and swimming. It also includes a grassy wetland area for wildlife and birds. Great lake to bring the canoe, kayak or paddleboard! There is a parking fee.
Great for hiking, light mountain biking, swimming, kayaking, and picnics. Perfect place to take the family for a day out! There is a farmer's market on Saturday mornings in Liberty Lake as well:)
