In the late 1700's, Captain Jacob Prickett and his family moved to the area now known as Prickett's Fort. Visitors can tour the fort along with the 19th century Job Prickett House, Prickett Cemetery, as actors enact daily living activities.

A place of refuge during colonial times, this historical Park commemorates the late 18th century life on the Virginia Frontier. The park is free of charge but some attractions charge admission.
