Tips from locals
A real hidden gem; proper local pub run by local people, like the pubs of yesteryear in ambiance but the selection of ales and food are anything but. Unrivaled views and local history - just go!
A short drive away is a firm favourite for visitors and locals. The food is excellent and the view too. Sunday lunch is very popular so please book ahead. I can recommend the fish and chips and baked Camembert.
Good pub good, with Buttcombe ales. Walking distance from fielding’s on top of the hill. Nice walk going back after a good pint
Great pub grub and stunning views over Box Valley. Pub was built with stone taken from the tunnel, designed by Brunel, that runs through the hill. Steeped in history.
