Come explore the many miles of roads and trails available for the hiker, snowmobiler, motorcyclist, and equestrian at Pachaug State Forest. Look up each area before you go to determine where you should park (remember it covers 5 towns). We have friends who love to take their motorcycles up there and stop for ice cream at Buttonwoods on the way home!

Beautiful spot for hiking with great views from Mt Misery. Don't let the name fool you , it is not a miserable climb.

It is located on the Rhode Island border in New London County, and parcels of the forest lie in the towns of Voluntown, Griswold, Plainfield, Sterling, North Stonington, and Preston.
