Cambuskenneth Abbey and Bell Tower are absolute gems, hidden away from the usual tourist crowds, and set in a wonderfully quiet and beautiful location. The Abbey is a ruin, though the outline of the structure is still visible, but the Bell Tower, is still standing and you can go inside. There are many plaques around to tell what each area is believed to have been. it is only open from April to September.

This beautiful old Abbey used to be the home of Monks. Some of the building is in ruin but a lot is still standing. It is a very calming place close to the river Forth. It is relatively unknown and so very peaceful and unspoilt.
