Just a few miles North of us you can access the national forest and find hiking trails, fishing in the stream, and camping, places to have a picnic, and 4-wheeler and snowmobile trails to ride.
There is a beautiful short hike to the head of the Cub River. Cool clear water flows from the bedrock here. Enjoy a few small waterfalls along the trail.
There is a great hiking trail at the end of the campground. You need to park just outside the campground unless you want to pay for parking. You can hike a pretty easy mile and a half one way to the headwaters of the Cub River (a spring that comes right out of the rock). If you are feeling more adventurous, you can take the Highline trail and hike all the way to Bloomington Lake (about a 5 mile hike one way).
