Northern access point to the city, the gate stands in the center of Piazza XXV Aprile and was built by the architect Giacomo Moraglia between 1826 and 1828.
Porta Garibaldi is a city gate of Milan. This Neoclassical arch was built to commemorate the visit of Francis I of Austria in 1825. It was later reconstructed and dedicated to G. Garibaldi in 1860.
